Cop StopInstructor Training

What is Alive at 25?

This young driver intervention program zeroes in on drivers between the ages of 15 and 24 – the group most likely to be involved in fatal collisions. Alive at 25 is a survival course developed by the National Safety Council and is designed to prevent the number one killer of teens, automobile crashes.  Alive at 25 is taught by off duty Deputy Sheriffs, Highway Patrol Officers, and Municipal Police Officers.  The course is delivered in one 4 ½ hour program which focuses on the behaviors and decision making paradigms that young drivers and passengers display behind the wheel.

Alive at 25 is an innovative, young-driver program that bridges the gap between what teens learn in drivers’ education and what behaviors and skills they need to become responsible, crash-free drivers. Through interactive media segments, workbook exercises, class discussions and role playing, young drivers learn how to take control of situations by understanding the consequence of their actions. It offers a balanced approach to help teens not only regulate their driving behavior, but also help them deal with the actual issues that can influence their driving behavior.
